Fitness Assessment for Chronic Diseases

This practical workshop is designed for health and exercise professionals who want to develop evidence-based assessment skills for individuals living with chronic diseases.

Participants will rotate through hands-on stations covering cardiovascular fitness, balance and falls risk, muscular strength, flexibility, cognitive and psychological screening, and pre-exercise risk stratification.

The workshop focuses on how to safely evaluate functional capacity, identify limitations, and use assessment outcomes to design personalized therapeutic exercise programs. Ideal for professionals working in prevention, rehabilitation, and healthy ageing.

Therapeutic Exercise for Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases & Older Adults

This workshop provides practical guidance on prescribing exercise as medicine for people with chronic health conditions and ageing populations.

Through interactive stations, participants will explore therapeutic exercise applications for cancer, cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders, respiratory disease, childhood disability, and balance training for older adults.

Attendees will gain real-world strategies to improve health outcomes, functionality, independence, and quality of life through safe and targeted exercise interventions.

Therapeutic Exercise for Obesity

A highly practical workshop focused on the science and application of exercise for obesity management.

Participants will learn how to prescribe effective exercise programs, understand energy balance and metabolic adaptations, improve adherence through behaviour change strategies, and conduct functional fitness assessments.

The workshop also addresses goal setting and low-intensity training approaches suitable for beginners and deconditioned individuals. Ideal for professionals supporting sustainable weight management and long-term lifestyle change.

Women’s Wellness Workshop

A comprehensive workshop dedicated to female health, performance, and wellbeing across the lifespan.

Participants will explore exercise considerations related to the menstrual cycle, menopause, mental health, injury prevention, safeguarding, pregnancy and postpartum exercise, and bone health.

This workshop combines science, practical tools, and current best practices to help professionals better support girls and women in sport, fitness, and health settings.

Athletes’ Performance and Development

Designed for coaches, trainers, and sports professionals, this workshop focuses on performance testing, athletic development, and wellbeing in competitive athletes.

Through practical stations, participants will explore cardiovascular performance, jump testing, field testing, anthropometry and body composition, and strength & conditioning methods for sprint, endurance, and team sports. The workshop will also focus on data extraction and interpretation of performance analysis data, in order to optimize athletes performance and long-term wellbeing.

Sports Soft Skills Workshop

Through practical stations, participants will explore leadership and teamwork, decision making under pressure, problem solving, resilience, adaptability, effective communication, creativity, and the development of a strong work ethic. Using real-life sport scenarios and applied activities, this workshop provides participants with tools to enhance performance, strengthen team dynamics, and build the mindset needed for long-term success in sport and beyond.
